As of May 25, 2018, GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) replaces the Swedish Personal Data Act. GDPR is a comprehensive set of rules regulating how we, as an e-retailer, can process your personal data.

By shopping with us, you accept that we process your personal data. You can read more about how we treat your information in our Privacy Policy.

Briefly, our policy can be described as follows:

We only collect the necessary information to fulfill our commitment to you. We do not share your information with third parties if it is not required to fulfill our commitment to you (for example, DHL gets your information to be able to send the goods home to you) and to meet the legal requirements for accounting. We only save the information required by law and that is needed to be able to provide the best possible service. If you specify that you want to receive our newsletter, we use an external system for it. Read more on our site for Privacy Policy.

  1. Purchase

When ordering, an agreement of purchase will only be made when bioboards.se/.eu confirmed the order through an order confirmation. An order confirmation is sent no later than 24 hours after the order has been received by bioboards.se/.eu. If the delivery time changes in the order, the customer will be notified of this as soon as possible. Bioboards.se/.eu has ownership and readmission rights to all products until full payment has been received from the customer. In order to shop with us you must be 18 years of age or over and bioboards.se/.eu must be able to determine the customer’s home address.

  1. Prices

The prices displayed in the shop exclude any VAT in checkout it include 25% of VAT for orders within the EU. If confirmed, the prices can only be changed by circumstances that bioboards.se/.eu does not have control over. For example, substantially changed commodity prices, exchange rate fluctuations or changes in VAT. No shipping costs will be added. Should the price change, the customer is entitled to cancel the purchase without charge.

We reserve the right for any incorrect typing and incorrect set price. At the wrong price, we have the right to adjust the price or cancel and refund your order if you do not accept the price update.

  1. Shipping

A shipping cost is added, and it varies depending on the weight of the order. You can see the full shipping cost at the checkout and can choose freight options.

4.1 Klarna

  1. Delivery

These are estimated delivery times and may differ slightly depending on different conditions. We are constantly working to reduce production times.

After your shipment is shipped, it usually takes 2-5 business days within Europe and outside Europe 3-7 business days.

Plutonium complete board:
Ships 3-4 weeks after ordering. If it is sent outside Europe it will be sent to one of our partners who installs the battery before sending it to you. This means that it takes about 1-2 weeks extra with our partner. If the order is in Europe, it will be sent directly to you with the battery installed.

Powertrain kit:
Ships 3-4 weeks after ordering.

Other products:
Ships 1-7 working days after ordering.

If an item is available as a backorder but in stock the delivery time depends on when we get it back in stock and it can differ between 1-45 working days before it is shipped.

  1. Delivery delays

Sometimes delivery delays arise from our suppliers, which is out of our control. This can happen, for example, when a supplier cannot fulfill its delivery obligations towards us or when problems in the manufacturing process occur. If this occurs, we will waive our liability to the customer for the damage caused by the delay. You can rest assured that we will always notify you of deliveries in good time.

  1. Transport

Bioboards.se/.eu is not responsible for transport to you as a customer. You and the transport company are responsible for the risk of any return to us. Its recommended to add insurance to the shipping.

  1. Damaged goods

When you receive your goods, it is important that you check your order directly and ask the carrier to note it. If you have received an incorrect or damaged item, please contact us as soon as possible by e-mail to info@bioboards.se.

  1. Right of withdrawal and purchase on approval

Private customers, according to the Distance Contract Act, are entitled to 14 days’ right of withdrawal within Sweden. This means that you, as a customer, have the right to regret your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods. Returned goods must be unused and in their original packaging. When using your right of withdrawal/purchase on approval, the customer must pay for the return shipping. The shipping costs will not be refunded to the customer. The right of withdrawal or purchase on approval only applies within Sweden. Note that when ordering a complete electric skateboard, the product is made to order and adapted to the customer’s wishes with different variants of bushings, display etc. and counts as a special orderThe right of withdrawal or purchase on approval does not apply to special orders.

We do not accept cancellation of a order. Even if the order was made the same day. We kindly ask the customer to think one extra time before making a purchase.

  1. Complaints

If you wish to complain about a damaged or incorrect product, please contact us by e-mail for further instructions. Notify us via e-mail at: info@bioboards.se before you send us any goods. Add the invoice/receipt so we are able to identify the return. Remember that you are personally responsible for shipping the goods to us.

In case of a dispute, we will always follow ARN’s recommendations.

  1. Refunds

Refunds are made via Klarna, Paypal or Shopify Payments. The sum is always refunded to the same account used at the time of purchase and as soon as possible from the time we have received and approved the return.

  1. Reservations

We reserve the right to make changes in prices as a result of major price deviations from our suppliers, typos or other errors that are beyond our control. Read more about unforeseen events under Force Majeure below.

  1. Protection of personal data

When you register or place an order, you agree that we store and use your personal data in our business solely for the purpose of completing and providing the service you expect from us. According to PUL (Personal Data Act), you have the right to receive the information that we have registered on you, and if you consider it to be incorrect or irrelevant, you can request correction or removal from our customer register. If so, please contact our customer service (preferably at info@bioboards.se). We also assure you that we will not sell or transfer any personal information (see our privacy policy).

In 2018, PUL (Personal Data Act) was replaced by GDPR, which are new data protection rules that apply throughout the EU. As we do not provide information to third parties, there are no direct difference between GDPR and PUL regarding the processing of your information or our relationship with you as a customer.

One difference is that we as a company must have appointed a data protection manager. At Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB, our CEO is the data protection manager. If you have any questions about how we process this information, please read our privacy policy or contact us at: info@bioboards.se.

  1. Unretrieved packages from delivery point

If your package arrives at a delivery point, a notification will be sent to you by e-mail or SMS. You, as the customer, are responsible for ensuring that the mobile number, address and e-mail address you entered are correct.
If you do not pick your package up, you will be charged an administrative fee of SEK 350 and will be responsible for all extra costs Bioboards Eskate Sweden Ab might have due to the package not being retrieved on time.

  1. Force Majeure

In the event of war, natural disaster, labor market action, government decisions and comparable events beyond our control which could not reasonably be foreseen, which affect the agreements entered into and our commitments, and which result in our inability to hold said agreement/undertaking; we are exempted from our obligations to fulfill said agreement.

  1. Responsibility for using our products

Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB declines all responsibility for using our products. Riding and building electric skateboards is dangerous; it is therefore important that you find out about the risks. You can seriously injure yourself or even die. Always follow the laws and regulations that apply in your country and city. By riding an electric skateboard, you are responsible for your safety and the safety of others. Always use full protective gear.

When using an electric skateboard from Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB, you are required to comply with these requirements:

  • The laws differ in all countries, so read carefully and follow the laws that apply in your country.
  • Always wear full protective equipment when riding an electric skateboard ie: Approved helmet (one that covers the entire face is recommended), knee protections, wrist protections, elbow protections, back cover and preferably a motorcycle suit.

  • Follow the traffic rules for your safety and the safety of others.
  • Over 20 km/h, only drive in a fenced area.
  • It can be dangerous to fall off a skateboard even at low speeds, so do not drive past your own ability and take it easy on unknown roads.
  • Stop completely and walk, or ride extremely slowly in turns where the visibility is bad.
  • Show respect for others around you, they can hurt themselves if you fall on them!
  • Do not drive if you are injured or affected by alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not drive in the dark without proper lighting.
  • You are responsible for yourself, how and where you drive. We do not take any responsibility for it.

  1. Taxes & customs

All prices in our web shop are shown without VAT. Next to the price there is a small field which shows the price including VAT. Only shipping addresses in the EU need to pay VAT. VAT is added at the checkout if the delivery address is within the EU. Countries outside the EU do not pay any VAT at checkout. They may however have to pay VAT to the shipping company or the country’s customs authorities, as well as other customs costs. Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB doesn’t take any responsibility for these costs, as this may differ from country to country.

  1. Age-limit

To shop at www.bioboards.se/eu, you have to be above 18 years of age. Never lend your electric skateboard to anyone below 18 years of age.

  1. Legal trial/lawsuit

When you shop at www.bioboards.se/.eu by Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB, you agree that any future lawsuits or legal complaints against Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB may only be made in a Swedish Court of Justice.

  1. Advertising from Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB

Advertising showing movies or pictures from activities with Bioboard’s electric skateboards can be performed by a professional stuntman, manipulated or faked. Don’t try anything like this yourself.

   21. Custom duties

Customs duties may apply when you order outside the EU as the goods are shipped from Sweden. We can not control the customs duties so please consult with your country's customs if you wanted to know in advance. Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB takes no responsibility for any customs fees.

   22. Delivery/Customs information

Orders shipped will need to be recieved, in some cases you need to apply more information to customs for the import. If you fail to report the information requested by custom office, shipping company or refused or did not accept the delivery the order will be returned to Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB. In this case we will not refund the order. We will store your product until the return shipping cost and a new shipping cost has been paid to Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB. Once that is paid we will ship the order again. Refuse to comply with custom office or shipping company will not be accepted for a refund or cancel of the order.

 22. Warranty

Warranty can't be transfered between customer. The warranty is only valid for customer that purchased their board from Bioboards Eskate Sweden AB.
